Trippy And Exceedingly Short: A Few Of My Thoughts On Glitchphobia

Developer / Publisher: Biszop
Game Jam: Epic MegaJam 2018 on itch.io

An incredibly short game jam title/demo in the vein of Antichamber, Glitchphobia is a fascinating enough game even if it only sustains its unique premise for about five minutes before it ends. The puzzles are simple enough if bordering on rudimentary, though I can't criticise the developers too much for that when taking into account the limited time they had to work with. Still, even with those considerations in mind, it's hard for me not to say that the game feels very lacking in content. I can only hope that with more time, Biszop will be able to make something more fully fledged (if their itch.io page is anything to go by). Still, as a brief example of what could be, it's solid enough even if the protagonist, bound in a straitjacket, leaves little imagination as to what these trippy rooms and corridors represent (probably some representation of a cracked and broken mind).
